History

Founded in 2013 – Ship Mate Ltd. started to address the maritime needs and deficiencies in The Bahamas.

September 2014 – Ship Mate Ltd. becomes fully incorporated.

October 2014 – Ship Mate Ltd. Official Launch.

February 2015 – First Seafarer Recruitment & Placement Service (SRPS) Established In The Bahamas.

February 2015 – First Seafarer Recruitment Job Fair- Grand Bahama

March 2015 – Ship Mate Ltd. opens its Grand Bahama office

May 2015 – Ship Mate Ltd. appointed as Recognized Security Organization (RSO).

July 2015 – Ship Mate Ltd is MLC 2006 certified as a Seafarer Manning Officer (SMO) by the classification society Bureau Veritas

August 2015 – Ship Mate ltd. is approved as a STS Lightering operator in Bahamian Territorial waters.

January 2016 – Ship Mate Ltd. begins operating as a certified Maritime Training Facility

June 2017 – Ship Mate Ltd recognized by The Bahamas Maritime Cadet Corps as a corporate partner.

September 2017 – Ship Mate Ltd. expands its training facility in Nassau.
