A Class License Course: For Bahamians and Residents
Course Description: Our B Class License course is taught by industry leaders and is geared
towards your success.
Topics Coved: Boat Registration & Merchant Shipping Act, Nautical Chart and Chart
Projections, Nautical Rules of the Road, Seamanship & Boat handling, Measuring and
Plotting Longitude and Latitude, calculating your Dead Reckoning position, course, and
distances, Compensation for wind, tidal, and ocean currents, Deck Safety, Cargo Stowage,
and Handling, Ship Construction, Weather Patterns, and Electronic Navigation along with First
Aid & Fire Fighting.
Training days and time: Twice per week (Mondays & Wednesdays) (6:00 pm-9:00 pm)
for 8 Weeks
